Chairperson Message

It is a great honor to serve as the chairperson for this term. I express my gratitude to God for the existence of our association and to all members for your unwavering support and contributions to its growth.

In today's rapidly changing global economy and technological landscape, the role of tax consultants has become increasingly vital. We find ourselves at the crossroads of global trends, technological advancements, and evolving regulatory frameworks. It is our responsibility not only to keep pace with these changes but also to guide our clients and fellow professionals towards a brighter future. This underscores the importance of coming together as a team to work towards the development of our country.

At TATC, the executive committee has made significant strides in the past months. We have initiated committees aligned with our strategic plans. These committees have already begun laying the groundwork and are expected to commence full operations in August 2024.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the launch of our office at Upanga Road, NHC Building, Plot No. 106/27, Room 305 (NEDCO Building) as of July 2024.

Looking ahead, we are planning a series of seminars and forums in the coming months, all to be held before the end of 2024. We are also excited to host a Tax Consultants' Day in October, where we will have the opportunity to meet, socialize, and strengthen our bonds as colleagues in the tax profession.

Finally, our role as tax consultants will become more defined, acknowledged, and supported through capacity-building initiatives within the association. I look forward to continued cooperation and financial contributions from all members as we nurture the association's growth and achieve our shared objectives.

However, I pose this question: As a team, we are capable of developing, building capacity, and upholding ethics among ourselves; but what about the other tax consultants who have not yet joined our association?
